| Great Eastern Life Assurance (Malaysia) Berhad (Great Eastern) began its operations in 1908 as a branch office of The Great Eastern Life Assurance Company and was later localized in 1999. The Company remained the largest and most established insurance company in Malaysia. |

| Our website, lifeisgreat.com.my offers e-Connect facilities to allow policyholders to obtain their policy information on-line. The agency portal (e-Partner) has been a useful and effective information resource for agents. |
| Members of the field force also subscribe to a short messaging service which let agents know the status of their proposal submissions. Another on-line facility, e-Submission, enables on-line proposal submission by agents and allows field delivery and exchange of information effectively between more than 17,000 agents in Malaysia. |
| Our Company's e-business initiatives have garnered recognition with Great Eastern being admitted to the CIO 100 Honours Roll in 2004. | Great Eastern's community project, ChildrenCare, was launched in 1995. Running in its 13th, ChildrenCare benefits children's charities under the umbrella of the National Welfare Foundation in Malaysia.

| To-date, we have donated more than RM1.1 million worth of specialized equipments and learning aids to more than 120 children's charities across Malaysia. Besides channelling donations to various charities and homes, we have also organized many interesting activities to bring cheer to the needy and special children throughout the year, eg. ChildrenCare Annual Youth Camps, Legal Awareness Camp, Children's Art Therapy sessions and even equipping a playroom for abused children in the first video recording witness suite under the care of the Polis DiRaja Malaysia. |
